Snakes are one of the most ferocious animals on the planet. One characteristic that makes them so terrifying is their ability to dislocate their jaw and swallow animals whole. So when a snake was killed after locals believed it had eaten a calf, it was likely that was the case.
The situation happened in Nigeria when locals saw that a snake had a swollen stomach and looked like there could be a full animal inside of it. Upon their discovery, locals decided to kill the reptile to prevent it from eating any more of the farmer’s livestock.
However, when they cut open the dead snake, they were in for another surprise. It turns out the snake was pregnant, with multiple eggs. Many snakes can produce up to 100 eggs at a time, but seeing the eggs inside the snake’s body is a shocking image.
The snake looks to be about a foot wide and several meters long, resembling an anaconda. However, anacondas are restricted to South America.
